CERTIFICATE IN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

The Certificate in Corporate Governance (CeCG) Program is a special program that focuses on corporate existence, shareholders' rights and obligations, powers and functions of the board of directors (BOD) and its officers, and best practices in corporate governance. In short, the focus of this program is the basics of corporate governance under the Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines and other related laws.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeCG conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as corporate secretaries, corporate board secretaries, corporate supervisors and/or managers, and corporate officers.

Enrollment in the CeCG Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED BOARD SECRETARIAT

A sub-category of the CeCG program is the Certified Board Secretariat (CBSec) Program which is designed and reserved for incumbent corporate board secretaries or assistants. The focus of the CBSec Program is to professionalize the function of a board secretariat and equip enrollees with the necessary knowledge and skills in managing the functions or affairs, meetings and documents of a corporate board of directors (BOD), including effective communication with middle managers.

Enrollment in the CBSec Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFICATE IN ESTATE PLANNING

The Certificate in Estate Planning (CeEP) Program focuses on general principles on succession, intestate succession principles, testate succession principles, and court remedies in succession or inheritance disputes. In short, the focus of this program is the basics of succession law under the New Civil Code of the Philippines and the basics of estate settlement under the Rules of Court.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeEP conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as estate planners, estate consultants, and estate managers.

Enrollment in the CeEP Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFICATE IN PUBLIC GOVERNANCE

The Certificate in Public Governance (CePG) Program focuses on barangay governance rules, city or municipal governance rules, provincial governance rules, and the relationship between the national government and the LGU. In short, the focus of this program is the basics of local governance under the Local Government Code (LGC) of the Philippines and other related laws.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CePG conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as local leaders, barangay conciliators, barangay mediators, and local government personnel.

Enrollment in the CeEP Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED BARANGAY LEADER

A sub-category of the CePG program is the Certified Barangay Leader (CeBL) Program which is designed and reserved for incumbent barangay officials and officers. The focus of the CeBL Program is to build an army of barangay leaders who are adept in the relevant provisions of the Local Government Code (LGC) of the Philippines, especially on Katarungang Pambarangay mechanisms.

Enrollment in the CeBL Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED CONTRACTS CONSULTANT

The Certified Contracts Consultant (CeCC) Program focuses on the general principles on contracts, perfection and performance, breach and remedy on contracts, and special rules on contracts. In short, the focus of this program is the basics of obligations and contracts under the New Civil Code of the Philippines.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeCC conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as contract drafters, contract negotiators, and contract assessors.

Enrollment in the CeCC Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED COURT MANAGER

The Certified Court Manager (CeCM) Program is one of CPLR, INC.’s management-level programs designed to deliver to enrollees advanced knowledge and advanced understanding of procedure, evidence, and case disposition from the viewpoint of the court. This program covers civil procedure from the viewpoint of the court, criminal procedure from the viewpoint of the court, evidence from the viewpoint of the court, and legal writing vis-a-vis case resolutions. Please check for prerequisites.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeCM conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as employees or officers in courts or quasi-judicial agencies.

Enrollment in the CeCM Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED CREDIT PROFESSIONAL

The Certified Credit Professional (CeCP) Program focuses on laws, regulations and principles on loans (mutuum and commodatum), voluntary and involuntary deposit, guaranty, suretyship, pledge, and mortgage. In short, the focus of this program is the basics of credit transactions under the New Civil Code (NCC) of the Philippines.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeCP conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as managers, supervisors, and high-ranking personnel in industries relying on credit transactions as their primary line of business.

Enrollment in the CeCP Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED ELECTION CONSULTANT

The Certified Election Consultant (CeEC) Program focuses on the powers of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), elective positions, qualifications and disqualifications, rules on candidacy, propaganda and expenditures, and election offenses and remedies. In short, the focus of this program is the basics of election laws under the Omnibus Election Code (OEC) of the Philippines and other special election statutes.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeEC conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as election paralegals, election strategists, and election managers.

Enrollment in the CeEC Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST

The Certified Human Resource Specialist (CeHRS) Program, also known as the Certified Employment Specialist (CeES) Program, focuses on laws, regulations and principles on employment. Topics covered are (a) general labor law principles and implementation, (b) pre-employment and employment, (c) types of employment and termination thereof; and (d) labor remedies, prescription, and penalties.

In short, the focus of this program is the basics of labor and social legislations as outlined in the Labor Code of the Philippines and related statutes.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeES/CeHRS conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as HR professionals, labor or union leaders, and members of the managerial staff.

Enrollment in the CeES/CeHRS Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED INSURANCE SPECIALIST

The Certified Insurance Specialist (CeIS) Program focuses on the general principles on insurance law, insurability and insurable interest, government regulations on insurance, and rights and remedies arising from an insurance policy. Also, the program deals with the practical knowledge and skills needed to become an insurance agent or insurance professional. In short, the focus of this program is the basics of insurance law under the Revised Insurance Code of the Philippines, including some relevant rules and regulations issued by the Insurance Commission to regulate the insurance industry in the Philippines.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeIS conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as agents, managers, supervisors, and high-ranking personnel in insurance companies or in government insurance regulatory bodies.

Enrollment in the CeES/CeHRS Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED JUNIOR PARALEGAL

The Certified Junior Paralega (CeJP) Program is designed and reserved for senior high school students and it focuses on the pre-filing, filing, trial, judgment, and post-judgment stages in civil procedure. In short, the focus of this program is a more-or-less full understanding of Rules 1 to 39 of the Rules of Court to prepare senior high school students for legal education in any undergraduate school and/or, in the future, law school. It is a preparatory certification program and affiliates with CeJP conferment are expected to pursue their career as full-blown certified paralegals.

Enrollment in the CeJP Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED LEGAL RESEARCHER

The Certified Legal Researcher (CeLR) Program is one of CPLR, INC.'s basic-level certification programs designed to deliver to enrollees basic knowledge and basic understanding needed to perform legal research functions. This program focuses on the structure of government, the role of the judiciary, traditional branches of law, jurisprudential development in different fields of law, approaches in understanding jurisprudence, and application of landmark case law.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeLR conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as legal researchers not only in government agencies or offices but also in the private sector.

Enrollment in the CeLR Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED MANAGEMENT PARALEGAL

The Certified Management Paralegal (CeMP) Program is known as CPLR, INC.’s “level-two or management-level paralegal certification program” because it is a law-school level program that deals with the advanced aspects of civil procedure, criminal procedure, evidence, and legal forms. A prerequisite to the CeMP Program is a CePL conferment. Please check for prerequisites.

The curriculum for CeMP deals with Rule 1 to Rule 71 of the Rules of Court, with other aspects of remedial touched upon along the way. The CeMP Program is a management-level program and CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeMP conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency, on the same level as law school graduates, in paralegal functions not only for employment in government agencies or offices but also in the private sector.

Enrollment in the CeMP Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED PARALEGAL

The Certified Paralegal (CePL) Program is known as CPLR, INC.’s “level one paralegal certification program” because it is an entry-level and zero-based program that deals with the basic aspects of the civil procedure, criminal procedure, evidence, and legal forms.

The CePL Program is a basic but full-blown certification program and CPLR, INC. affiliates with CePL conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency as paralegals in law firms, law offices, legal departments, or legal sections of private and/or government agencies and institutions.

Enrollment in the CePL Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED PENOLOGY CONSULTANT

The Certified Penology Consultant (CePC) Program focuses on laws, regulations and principles on crimes (general principles), mitigating circumstances, aggravating circumstances, indeterminate sentence, and good conduct time allowance. In short, the focus of this program is the basics of imposition of penalties for crimes as outlined in the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines and other special penal laws.

CPLR, INC.’s affiliates with CePC conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency in the field of law enforcement.

Enrollment in the CePC Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.

CERTIFIED REALTY SPECIALIST

The Certified Realty Specialist (CeRS) Program focuses on laws, regulations and principles on land acquisition, land management, land disposition, and other voluntary dealings on land. In short, the focus of this program is the basics of real property law under the New Civil Code of the Philippines.

CPLR, INC. affiliates with CeRS conferment are expected to exhibit competence and proficiency in the field of real estate and real property laws.

Enrollment in the CePC Program entails four (4) training sessions with two (2) hours each. To pass, one must get a grade of 75.00% in one (1) major proficiency examination.
